| Sergei Kossenko - Fundraising Concerts - Lord Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace |

Sergei Kossenko, pianist, composer, recording specialist and Music Ambassador for the Rachmaninov Society USA launched the first Fund Raising Concert, Lord Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace, October 31, 2006 at Grantham Peace Church , Grantham, Pennsylvania . Moscow Conservatory and Dartmouth College graduate Sergei Kossenko made an expressive and romantic presentation of three Rachmaninov pieces.
The Kyiv Symphony under the direction of Rodger McMurrin and Sergey Golubnichy with Vocal Soloists of Music Mission Kiev performed works representative of the culture of Sergei Rachmanin-ov(off) (1873-1943).
The Chamber Singers of Messiah College presented an a cappella work. Carol Bacha, Rachmaninov Society USA President spoke of the “…Peace” Mission at the concert and pledged continued support to orphans and widows in Kyiv , Ukraine.

Messiah College Dean of Arts,
Dr. Richard Roberson sponsored the travel for Kossenko and Bacha. The Messiah College music students and 20 families of Grantham BIC Church housed 93 Ukrainian musicians of The Kyiv Symphony and Music Mission Kiev before their next day return to Kyiv , Ukraine , November 1, 2006.
We thank everyone for their rapid readiness that helped us in organizing this concert. Messiah College will be the site of Piano Masterclasses with Yuri Didenko. International Masterclass students will study with piano students of Messiah College and from regions through out America when they come together again in Grantham, Pa., January 29-February 4, 2007. A concert presentation with Yuri Didenko and students of the Masterclasses will be at Messiah College School of the Arts, February 4th at 3pm.

Yuri Didenko assistant professor of Piano at Moscow Conservatory and winner of many international piano competitions and prizes will conduct summer masterclasses at the Rachmaninov Family Estate Museum in Ivanovka, Russia. the masterclasses and it will include meals and housing at Ivanovka. Please write soon if you are interested in these classes as space is limited.

The legacy of one of the world's greatest Russian artists attempts to live on in New Smyrna Beach. Still in its infancy, a local organization known as Rachmaninov Society aims to promote greater awareness and appreciation of the music and art of not only Russian composer, pianist and conductor, Sergei Rachmaninov (1873-1943), but of all artists.
